We are inviting applications for the positions below.  The following is the profile of the successful candidate:

 

MANAGEMENT TRAINEES 2008
We are a leading Five Star hotel chain in the country and following rapid business growth and proposed expansion programs, Sarova Hotels would like to recruit ambitious and dynamic young people who are keen to develop a career in Finance in the hospitality industry.

The trainees will be placed on a 6 month intensive development program that will enable them to well rounded Finance professionals.

This programme offers the trainees the opportunity to develop overall perspective of the management of a major industry player.

Candidates who meet the requirements below will be considered:

1. Minimum Qualifications
      i. Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting Option.
      ii. Completed CPA - (Mandatory)
      iii. IT proficiency on Microsoft Office
2. Age: 25 years old maximum
3. Work Experience: None required

UNIT ENGINEER (LODGES)

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of building services, mechanical, electrical, civil and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of various refurbishment and retrofitting projects.
  • Energy & environment conservation techniques.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

People’s Skills:

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • High on value systems such as integrity and honesty
  • Highly motivated, pro-active and well-organized
Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
  • 5 years post qualification experience in Engineering, operation and maintenance service areas. At least 2 years at HOD level with a 100-150 bed rooms, preferably a 5 star lodge of repute or at least 2 years at Deputy Chief Engineer level.

Age:      

  • 30-35 years

Personality:

  • Dynamic, energetic, resilient, ability to get to the heart of problems and see through resolution.
