The Sarova Stanley was voted as Kenya’s leading hotel at the 17th World Travel Awards which were held in South Africa, on 12th July, 2010. The World Travel Awards was expressly launched 17 years ago with the aim of encouraging the international travel and tourism industry to embrace the pursuit of excellence. Nominated companies for the World Travel Awards are voted online by travel agents globally and then vetted and inspected by a group of industry experts. Issues such as customer relations to creativity, quality of service, standards, guest satisfaction, product innovation and business acumen are considered.

Sarova Panafric hosts International Athletes
Internationally acclaimed athletes who attended the 17th African Athletics Championships in Nairobi made Sarova Panafric their home. Kenya overtook Nigeria and South Africa to win the medals table on the last day of competition and most of these renowned athletes experienced the Refreshing African Hospitality that is synonymous with the hotel. Sarova Shaba invests in water treatment plant
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge constructed an ultra modern water recycling plant within the grounds of the property in an effort to purify water sourced from the natural spring within the compound, for onward use at the property. The investment, that cost Ksh. 20 million, is used throughout the lodge and is suitable for human consumption. Sarova Shaba Game Lodge has the capacity to purify 10, 000 litres of water per hour. The plant operates for 13 hours every day to meet the water demands of the property.
