Hot Air Balloon Safaris
A hot air balloon ride is one of the most amazing ways to experience the Maasai Mara. The hot air Balloon safaris are ideally suited at the Maasai Mara in the open, treeless plains allowing many of the animals to be seen from the air and viewed from an altitude of several thousand feet. The savannah scenery is breath-taking. Balloon safaris take off just before dawn so that you are high above the plains in time for sunrise. Flights last for approximately one-hour drifting wherever the air current takes you. Once back on terra firma, the flight is celebrated with a glass of champagne and a breakfast in the bush.
Walking Safaris- Nature Trail
A selection of long walks on the nature trails is on offer within the greater Mara area along the periphery of the park. The walks give a scenery view of the wildlife, birdlife, plant-life as well as topography that the Maasai Mara is famous for. The duration of these walks is approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours covering a distance of 9 - 15 km, and includes a packed lunch and game drives en route to and from the walking safari location. These wildlife safaris help you understand the flora and fauna of the region and also make you relish the beauty of nature in the great wild outdoors. These wildlife trails are a perfect way to soak in the way of life in this African paradise.
